Dauber to present clips from 'Medical Marijuana' at the 2017 UNESCO Conference on Bioethics

Filmmaker's opportunity to address an international forum on the ethics of medical use of plant medicine

'MEDICAL MARIJUANA' Clips to Show at Bioethics Conference A Project of Documentaries

'Medical Marijuana: Understanding Cannabis as Medicine' is in production. In this campaign we are seeking funds to present film clips and speak at the UNESCO Bioethics Conference for international attention.

The United States is undergoing a bewildering state by state reform of laws regarding the use of marijuana in the face of ongoing federal illegality. The medical user, seeking self-care, pain relief and healing, must navigate not only a legal maze but also trial and error experimentation - often without support from the medical establishment, to find the optimum dosing amount and method for their health issue. Few dispensary 'bud-tenders' are trained to advise those seeking relief. This documentary shows what the new medical user faces and what can help them navigate the current 'green' landscape.

Funds will allow Roz Dauber to attend the conference in Cyprus by covering travel and lodging; and hire an editor to prepare the segments to present. Segments include an edible company that hires cancer patients to work in their factory and flexibly accommodate their health challenges during treatment; a dispensary joining the local Chamber of Commerce who put their bud-tenders through special training; and an MD who specializes in medical marijuana treatment. A new patient is followed as they learn how to navigate the maze of plant types, dosage level, dose frequency, and ways to imbibe cannabis.
